Congrats to Maria Mallon for being Named as a Miss Volleyball Candidate!

Maria Mallon has been named a Top-10 Finalist for the 2017 Miss Volleyball Award. Mallon is a six rotation, four year starter who made 1st team all-state in Class A as a junior. As a sophomore she made 2nd team all-state and 3rd team all-state as a freshman.  Mallon is a dominant player for Anchor Bay.  Her stats speak to her power and diversity on the court.   From freshman year to mid season, she currently has 2,500 kills, 432 Aces and 1,494 digs.  She holds the records at Anchor Bay for most kills in a season (754), most kills in a career (2,500) and most aces in a career (432) and highest serve receive percentage of .959%.  She led her team to a MAC White Co-championship and was voted MAC Conference MVP before moving to the MAC Red.  Anchor Bay has been ranked as high as 8th in the state this year. Mallon was named to the Prep Volleyball's Frosh 59 (Top 25 finalist), Sophomore 79, 1st team All-American (Prep Volleyball) and is a three-time AAU All-American.  Mallon is an honor roll student and has committed to the University of Cincinnati.
