Tars Soccer looks strong in play against MAC opponents. Seniors Honored

The Tars started the week with a 2-2 tie versus the league which Grosse Pointe South has the lead in. On Wednesday, the Tars pushed their league record to 5-3-2 with a win over the Lakeview Huskies on Seniors Night. The squad honored their seniors: Alex Bezanovsk, Al Biland, Matt Muzia, Shaun Usteski, Abel Hunegnaw, and Stephen Halanski, with a scrappy performance. The Tars held on to a 2-2 tie in a windy first half and then dominated in the second, scoring the go ahead with over 18 minutes to play. Scoring for the Tars were Muzia, Stephan Bezanovski and Dejan Ristch. Goal keeper Hazen Heskett made some great saves for the team throughout the game.

Next up for the Tars are two league games to finish out the regular season. On Monday, the Tars are at Fraser and Wednesday they will look to keep the New AB Turf Pitch undefeated as they play host to LCN in the league finale.

League Record 5-3-1, Overall Record 5-7-4

At Districts the Tars will play the winner of PHN/LCN on October 17th at LCN. Good luck, boys!
