The Anchor Bay girls track team won convincingly in the opening meet on Anchor Bay's new track. There were many outstanding performances. Despite the cold weather conditions.

Amelia Bont started the Tars our strong by winning shot put and discus. Her throw of 115'9" is a HUGE 10' personal record for her, and is only two and a half feet from the school record set by Stacy Either in 1982. Her throwing teammates Sydney and Alaina Kiehl also had solid days finishing 3rd in Discus and Shot Put respectively. Sydney's throw of 96'7"  ranks her 7th all time in Anchor Bay's history in discus, and Alaina's throw of 31'3" also ranks her 7th in AB's History in shot put. Fitting, because they are twins.

Cora Kolodge was again, the most dominate runner on the track yesterday, and won all 4 events (3200m relay, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m) she was in . Her 1600m time of 5:27.7 is a freshman record  and ranks her 4th all time in school history. With the help of her relay teammates Sophia Brown, Grace Ragsdale, and Bri French they improved their 3200m relay time by 26 seconds.
